As everybody knows, in TW PGA 08's basic version there is a list of default players you can challenge - with your own custom player - in PGA Tour or FedEx Cup, etc.
Many of those players, after 6 years - in the real sports events - have quitted or are not on the top of ranking anymore; other players, on the contrary, have come to the fore: and one can virtually play against them, downloading some of custom-golfers files offered by other kind members of this site.
Ok... my problem is that: is it possible to eliminate some of "old" (default) golfers, to insert some of "new" ones (custom) and start a Tour season up-to-date?
(I am speaking, of course, about off-line playing; the only mode I am interested at the moment)
If yes, could someone be so kind to indicate me how to do?

There is a file named: Updated CPU opponents... in section Utilities...Utilities and files for TW08....Custom golfers
The cpu players will play better when you install this file.
Note: I am not sure there are new players added in the file.
There is a readmefile with some help included in the zipfile.
You can download the file Updated CPU opponents on link below:

When you downloaded the file, extract or unzip the zipfile, and you will see a readme file with instructions, and two folders.
You can choose you install folder 1 or folder 2:
folder 1: Updated CPU opponents (scoring -10 to -15 after four rounds )
folder 2: Updated CPU opponents ( scoring -20 to -25 after four rounds )

| Have a file like this were I used the real stats for the players, however still have some old school players in it. Normally will run the mod with 156 players, have about 200 in total. It is not that hard to make a custom tour. Not hard to figure it out either. My tour is a mix of US, Euro and players from when I was young. Didnt really do this to specs. For Tiger used his stats from 2000. Duval used his best year, so he can still compete. Mickleson used his best year. Some of the other guys were already created. But new stars like Rory, used 2012 stats... |

Gunpower61 you can upload the file for both 07 & 08, to this site if you want.
The file goes with the other tour files in the game
TW08/Players
or
TW07/Players
Just place the folder in the directory

Update: Hmmmm....i extracted the zipfile and i have a folder: World Tour
I can t find a folder named World Tour in TW08 game ?????
Whats the trick Hyno ?...not working for me. |

Here is the trick World Tour is just the name of the folder, you can name a custom tour what ever you want as long as it is placed in the players folder. It is no different than the hack tour. Than when you load up the game and select who you play against you pick World Tour.
So for 08 here is the directory to place the folder:
C:\Program Files (;x86)\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Players |
