| I recently upgraded my PC including installing Windows 7 as my operating system. As per the instructions on this site I did not install to the default folder. The game works fine. I tried to install the crashing waves utility for Pebble Beach. However when I tried to save the file using "All files" a message came up saying that I was not authorized. Any help would be much appreciated. |

Just tried to install the small fonts utility and a message came up saying that I had no administrative rights or something like that. I assume that this is the same problem with the crashing waves.
I read that it is also an issue with TWCaddie. Can anyone tell me if there is an easy fix that will allow me to install the crashing waves and the small fonts utility and that would allow me to also use TWCaddie to install some courses.

Hi...
You can t edit the PBl.ini file while it is in TW08, you will have to copy the PBL.ini file to your desktop first.
So go to this path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses\PBL
inside folder PBL you will find PBL.ini file, now copy and paste the file on your desktop.
Insert the crashing waves in the PBL.ini file that is on you desktop, and save it.
When done copy the desktop PBL.ini file and paste it back to the original location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses\PBL
You will be asked to overwrite the original PBL.ini file, say yes.
For the small text file:
on top go to Utilities...Utilities and files for TW08...Game display
Inside look for the file: Shot distance Display - Small text
Extract or unzip the downloaded zipfile and you will see folder: ScoreAndLietexts
Go to next location in TW08 game:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Data\Images\Game
Inside folder: Game... you will see the folder: ScoreAndLietexts......replace it with the downloaded folder ScoreAndLietexts. |
