Hello,
I made my donation today and have been doing some reading but I can't seem to figure out how to download the course installer for Tiger Woods 2006 (so I can add courses to my TW 2006 PC game). When I visit the download page for 2006 it does not give me an option to download the installer. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, thanks for donation.
The easiest way to install courses is to use the automatic installer: CLsetup06
You can download and install CLsetup06 on this site.
On top of page go to section: Utilities....Utilities and files for TW06....Course installation tools
Inside you will find CLsetup06
Or go to this link: http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=620
First Download the CLsetup06 zipfile to your PC.
After that unzip or extract the zipfile, and dubble click: CLsetup06-1.0d.exe
When you downloaded and installed cLsetup06, you will find CLsetup06 icon on your desktop.
Important:
When you are using Win7 or Vista or Win8:: right click CLsetup06 icon on desktop and choose: Properties...Compatibility...and check box: Run as administrator...and hit: Apply
Now you have to create a new folder on your PC,You can create it where you want, but not in TW game.
I created the new folder on my desktop.
In this new folder you will have to download the course zipfile + all listed libraries zipfiles.
( no need to unzip the downloaded files, CLsetup can handle zip files )
When you found a TW06 course you want to download:
On left side you will see:Coursedownloads.net ( Click on it to download course )
On right side you will see : Library name.....with list of all required libraries.
You will have to download all listed libraries on the right side, click on each library name to download.
( Example: when you have course + 5 listed libraries, you will have to download 6 files: Course file + 5 libraries )
When you downloaded course+libraries in new folder:
Dubble click CLsetup icon on desktop and popup screen will appear...in this popup screen you will have to browse/find the new folder where you downloaded course+libraries.
When you found: First dubble click all library zip files, agree with all questions and libraries will be installed in TW game.
At last dubble click the course zip file, agree with all questions and course will be installed in TW game.

That's very helpful and informative and I appreciate that you took the time to help me.
I've been working on PGA Tour Golf arcade versions for the past couple years and have come to the realization that it would be better to have a full PC version of TW 06 with downloadable content versus the stripped down arcade port in my pedestal cabinet! I was going to consider more recent versions but my concern was trackball interface. So my goal is to get this running on 06, then 07, then 08, etc until the trackball function doesn't work.
I really apprecaiate everything! |
