Hello,
Just getting back into the game after not playing for a long time, and after a clean install on my computer I'm only seeing half of all the menu screens. I did install the widescreen app with success: when I start game play everything looks correct on my 1080p screen (42" LG TV). However, all the menu screens are shifted off to the left, making it very difficult to maneuver around the game. (It was doing this before I installed the widescreen app, btw)
Has anyone else experienced this before?
I'm running Windows 7 on a decent machine: i5, gtx560 ti, 8GB Ram, game installed on E drive (7200RMP 1TB).
Thanks for your help.

Hi Joel....
Try this: You can drag the menu screens to another place on your screen. when you play a course, go with your mouse icon on any menu screen, until you see the hand icon, now hold the right button of your mouse and drag the menu screen to another location on your screen.
Another thing you can try: On the start screen of TW08 go to: Options....video...and set the screen resolution to another value After that start to play any course, and when you are on the first tee, end the game. Now go back to: Options....video...and set the screen resolution to the original screen resolution you played before. This should set the menu screens to the origianal locations. |

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. Not the in-game menu buttons, but the menu screens where you select your golfer, choose a course, etc. Even the splash screen is off to the left. Changing the screen resolutions in the options menu has no effect on these menu screens. |

Yes i misunderstood, not sure how to fix it. Maybe you have to lower your resolution in Windows. Right click on desktop, and try to change resolution there, not sure it will fix the problem though. |

What is your Game resolution set for. Also what is the specs for the computer input on your TV that you are using? Even though the display maybe 1080 for the television, most at best have a 720p for the pc input. Also I have never used the WS Patch, but I remember seeing something that said the game resolution needs to be set for 800*600. Also a screenshot or two would be helpful. |

I solved the issue by clicking "override the scaling mode set by games and programs" in my Nvidia control panel. Pretty strange; hadn't had this problem with any other software. Just glad it's now working correctly.
Thanks for the suggestions. |
