I would say that TW08 has the best collection of real courses ever produced for the PC. However I was surprised to see on a recent top 100 list that we have about 47 that are not found on this site. In order: National Golf Links of America, Fishers Island, Crystal Downs, Morfontaine, San Francisco, Friars Head, Lahinch, Hirono, Barnbougle Dunes, Woodhall Spa, Los Angeles North, North Berwick, Old Macdonald, Ganton, Garden City, St. Georges Golf&CC (;Canada), Lost Farm, Rye, The Golf Club, Highlands Links, Portmarnock, Diamante, Cruden Bay, Shoreacres, Carmargo, Swinley Forest, Kawana, Castle Stewart, St. Georges Hill, The Course at Yale, Walton Heath, Mid Ocean, Valley Club of Montecito, Brandon trails, Maidstone, Hamilton, Royal Porthcawl, Myopia Hunt, Somerset Hills, Royal Aberdeen, Shadow Creek, Old Sandwich, Kittansett, Prestwick, Ellerston, Gozzer Ranch, Peachtree. This list is from Links Magazine winter 2012. I didnt check this list with our course list, I just did it from memory, so we may actually have a couple of these courses. |

Jay,
CGX had a nice version of St Georges in Canada 4 years ago when the Canadian Open was there. CGX has used a nice version of Castle Stuart the past two years for the Scottish Open. Hamilton, Shadow Creek and Portmarnock are in the 08 courses library here. There is a nice version of Kittansett in the 06 courses library that runs very nicely in 08.
You used to do such beautiful renderings of courses in the Jack Nicklaus series. Ready to try your hand on any of these courses here? |

Hi,
I had some really fun times with JN6 and met a lot of great people from around the world. I gave up designing because I felt it was time to move on to other things. I did think about designing when I first came to TW8, but I had Win7 and it seemed like the designer was more for XP. I'm sure someday I'll get back into it. It's a fun hobby. I've admired the work of the TW designers. Hopefully someday somebody will put out a next generation game with a designer and we can all push the envelope to an even higher level. |

The only thing you really need XP for is to compile the courses. Everything else seems to work pretty well in other versions of Windows.
I agree completely that we need a new game to get into. As nice as Tiger Woods 08 is, it does get a little boring after a while. |
