hello all
Im with the Caddyshack group from the now defunct TWO game.
we have converted our website for 08 and our Myleague Ladder is in the process
of the switch. this is an invite to any playing 08 to join up,we use Teamspeak and also have a dedicated Hamachi 32 unit VPN server.
the website and teamspeak,and the Hamachi are all free. to join just go to http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=372629&TabID=3127190 there is a short app fill it out and shoot it in.
im the one that does new intake so i will get you in quickly. in the app when you get to the part about personas just fill out the top one as you can only use 1 persona in the group.
and disreguard the other boxes as the site owner is out on vacation and he needs to change that through the Guild Portal folks.
We will more then likely start out with a couple of Ladder tourneys a week,and we do a site tourney every few months.
if there is enough interest we will expand to more tourneys.
at the time so far we have 12 players using 08 along with the Hamachi.
now as for rules the only ones we have are only 1 persona.
no use of programs that make the voice sound like a fed informant doing a TV interview as that is a dead give away the multi personas could be in play.
we have caught this in the past
And to play in the ladder and site tourneys you need to be using Teamspeak,now if you dont have a mic right off the bat,for a short time you can use the type chat in teamspeak till you have time to get a mic.
now a few years back i created another ladder and took it to a group that where mostly from across the pond and i had a blast playing with these guys,it was great as something i enjoy is learning of other cultures and what there about.
so if we get enough guys from over there as a TD on our ladder i will start up ladder tourneys during our afternoon hours so all have a chance to play during decent hours for them,as it is now we are mostly from the US we do have a
couple of guys from over that way who have been in the shack for years.
now on our voice chat we all talk like a bunch of truck drivers,but we tone down when women are in the chat,or when we hear someones children in the background it is just a respectful way to be.
speaking of respect we do show lots of respect to one and other and plan to keep it that way. it is a 2 way street and you will also be treated with respect.
in the years i have been with the shack i have only had to put one person out of the TWO group and never had any out of our website and ladder sites,
so we are a pretty easy going bunch of guys and a great mix from ol bikers like myself to retired and active LEOs
we all have some age on us so we know how to carry ourselves and im sure just about anyone will fit in.
