Hiya.....
I received this message from one of our members, maybe someone knows the solution ?
Got a problem...Installed new graphics card in my new Win7 computer.
Attempted to play in LAN mode offline..got this message...Connection Status
Couldnt create the game, the name might already be in use. When I get to the
Lan Lobby there is no name in the box under players...or a title the game box.
I was able to play offline in Lan mode before I changed vid card. |

| Why would one play LAN mode offline? Are there multiple people playing in the same house from different computers? Why not use GameRanger regardless? |

Hi...
People are playing LAN offline, because the TW08 skills are locked on 75%, so you can play in same conditions as you play online.
It is good way to play a practice round with same skills as you play online.

| I tried to duplicate the problem and was unable to do so. I would reinstall the old video card and see if the problem still exists. Its a place to start. GL |

You think it might be the vid card...i did not change driver...
I went from a EVGA GeForce 620 GT to a 640 GT...I think it's
the Win 7 64 bit OS ??? |

My Win 7 64bit computer was built for me by Cyberpower this
is the 3rd computer they have built form me over about 7 or 8
years....so I kind of trust them...LOL...the computer works
great except for that message that Gunpower61 states in above
post when I try to play TW08 in Lan mode offline. I play Lan
mode offline all the time with my XP computer with no problems.
Anywho thanks...If you can think of anything else PM me or
post here again...THANKS

P.S. I see you are using a similar OS...I have Win7 Home Premium
can you play in Lan mode offline ???
Also the driver that Im using is only 9 months newer than the
1st one released for the 600 series graphics cards |

Some Info:
I have Win7 Home 64bit, i just tried to play Lan mode offline and it works for me.
One question: Are you using the NO Intro to start the game ?
(; No intro shortcut = to start game with skipping the intro movie )
When you are using the NoIntro, the TW08 game will not detect your new installed card.
When you start Tw08 normally, the game will detect the best settings for your graphics card. When you use the No intro, it will also skip the detection of the best settings for your new card.
The Nointro works great aslong as you are using the same card.
When you installed a new graphics card, you have to run the game at least once without the No intro, to give the game the chance to detect your new graphics card. |

No I dont have the NoIntro...thing installed...should I...
where is link...Thanks..I do remember reading about it

P.S.I did that EASOuninstaller..thing that you PM me again
yesterday still no workee...also on my XP computer in the
EA Sports Online folder there is NO...EASOuninstaller icon
like there is in my WIN 7 computer...dang odd..eh
What is really odd, is that when Im pluged into the internet I
can use Lan mode, but Im just playing on my computer, not at
any site or with anyone ???? |
