I just got a Win 7 64 bit machine. I'd like to have all my courses and my player that i created on my XP system. I re- installed TW 08 first then i put all my old files into the proper folders.I put the folder from my documents also into the folders on my Win 7.
All my old courses don't show up in the game or does my player that i created. I finally got TW Caddie 08 64 bit to work and doesn't show the old courses either.
I have done this cut and paste with seversl other games and it worked great.
So is there a way to get these files to work with my new win 7 machine.
I have Bandon Dunes on my old computer and can't find it to Dl , If I have to re-install all the courses.. My Favorite course I might add.
How did you guys get your old files into Win 7?
What kind of help can you offer..Plz Help

Hi....
It will not work when you just copy your courses and libraries.
So first delete all the courses and libraries you copied to Win7.
Now you will have to reinstall all libraries + courses with TWCaddie08
When you have all the courses from your old system: Best thing you can do is to make one big zipfile of the courses folder.
(;So go to the courses folder and zip the whole folder)
When you have all the libraries from your old system: make one big zipfile of Libraries folder.
So go to the libraries folder and zip the whole folder)
So now you will have two big zip files.
On your new system install both zipfiles with TWCaddie, same way you install other courses or libraries.
Note: First install the big libraries zipfile, at last install the big courses zipfile.
It will take some time when you have a lot of courses/libraries installed.
Note: You will have to Run TWCaddie08 as administrator on Win7, see link below:

Now how to restore your players Career:
On desktop of your old system go to: My Documents
Inside you will see folder: Tiger woods PGA tour 08
You have to burn this folder (; Tiger woods PGA tour 08 ) to a blank DVD or USB stick.>
When you reinstalled TW08 on your new system:
First play 1 hole on any stock course, and close TW08 game.
After that on desktop go to: User...My documents.....and replace the folder :Tiger woods PGA tour 08 .... with the folder you backed up before.
Note: be sure to back up the folder (; Tiger woods PGA tour 08 )in: My documents.
There is also one with the same name (; Tiger woods PGA tour 08 )on this location:
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 (; Dont back up this one !!!! ) |

Thank You so much..I'll give this a try on my next couple of days off.
This will be so good to have my old courses back along with my career player.

Received a message from edintampa4, he said it will be a lot of clicking when you have loads of libraries installed., and when all libraries are zipped in 1 big zipfile. TWcaddie08 will install all libraries, but you have to click OK after each installed library, and you have to go on until all libraries are installed.
Ed mentioned to put for example 50 libraries in 1 zipfile, and put the next 50 libraries in another zipfile, etc......
I think that is a good idea. |

One more question Do i have to create a player with the same name as my career player i want to transfer over or can i use anybody to play that one hole?

It is not important what player you use to play that 1 hole, you can use any player.
Important: Don t create a new player yet with same name as your career player. Your career player will be automatic in game once you transfered the my documents folder. |
