I would just like to make everbody aware of the fact that you can continue to play TW 08 online by installing a program called "GameRanger" There is a lobby to host or join game.

Most of you are probably aware of this already.

Regards Jason.

Birdsandboge, I would start by reinstalling GR. There is a bit of help on this page: http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/search_results.asp?search=gameranger&searchin=0&look=1&sortby=0&SubID=0

I think it was some update of adobe flash player, for the annoying adds / videos he has introduced on Game Ranger

I have only one download link on that site. Maybe you had popups of other software.
On desktop you can go to: Start.....control panel.....ADD/remove programs.
There you can uninstall programs you don t want.
In the same list you can also see what Adobe flash player version you have installed on your system.

Flash editions on Windows
On Windows, there are two separately available editions of Adobe Flash Player. One, called Adobe Flash Player ActiveX, is only for the use within Microsoft Internet Explorer, while the other, Adobe Flash Player Plugin, is for the use in other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox. No additional installation is necessary for Google Chrome which includes its own edition maintained by Google.

Do you use Internet Explorer or it sounds like you are using Firefox/Mozilla

Go to your Control Panel/Programs and Features. At the top of the listed programs you should see Adobe Flash Player to the far right it will tell you which version is installed. 11.6.602.171 is the latest version. If I it is not, highlight it and and uninstall it.
Now go to: http://adobe-flash-player-activex.updatestar.com/

About half way down the page on the right side you should see:
All Versions.
11.6.602.171 is the latest version.
Click on: Get Installer, select: Run. Click on: Next Step: remove the check mark at the top of License Agreement AVG 2013 page,. Click: Next Step, click on Decline, Click on Decline again. On the next page, remove the check mark from Install PC Fix Speed. Click on: Next Step, this should start your download. When it is 100% completed, click on: Next Step, Install Now, you may have to close your browser to complete installation. Place check mark in the License Agreement box, select: Install.
I hope this makes it a bit easier.

Also: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
At the top of the page you also have the option of: Do you have a different operating system or browser? Select this if you are using Firefox/Mozilla
remove the check mark from: Yes, install Chrome as my default browser.
Click on: Download now
Follow on screen instructions. Click on Run
Select: Allow Adobe to install updates. Click NEXT
