| I have had the smaller yardage display installed for quite some time but still find it annoying even with the smaller font. I don't suppose anyone has ever come up with a "patch" that eliminates it completely? |

C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Data\Images\Game\ScoreAndLieTexts
is where the images files are for those
just rename or delte the ones you not want
or rename the folder to ScoreAndLieTexts-orig or similar
then the game won't find them |

| Thanks for the reply. I looked in the Score and Lie Texts folder and the only file I saw that thought would delete the display of the distance hit was "Yards" so I deleted it, went back in to the game and took a shot. The yardage display still appears so maybe it is just something that is built in to the game that cannot be taken out. |

That is not enough....
You have to follow Jbcalg his steps:
You have to rename the folder: ScoreAndLieTexts
Rename the folder to ScoreAndLieTexts-orig or similar

| The only display I want to get rid of is the running yardage display that appears on the screen as soon as you hit the ball. In the ScoreandLieTexts folder there are files for everything from HoleInOne to QuadBogey to Green in Reg. These I want to keep so if I were to rename the ScoreandLieTexts folder then none of the displays would appear anymore. |

Ok you have to delete next files:
You have to delete the Yards.dds.....and all numbers from 0 to 9:
Yards.dds
0.dds
1.dds
2.dds
3.dds
4.dds
5.dds
6.dds
7.dds
8.dds

| Thanks, that did the trick. I moved all the files to another location in case I want to reinstall them at a later date. |
