Lately I noticed that when I am logged into this site and seems to be all sites, certain words are now highlighted and underlined and when I hover my mouse over them, an add pops up..
I had this happen a while back and did a system restore and it corrected it but not this time.. Anyone know what my be happening and how to get rid of it?
Thanks |

Are you referring to tooltips? I had that on one of the versions a long time ago.
To disable ALL tooltips, enter "about:config" in your urlbar, press enter, and search for the entry "browser.chrome.toolbar_tips". Right click to toggle that to false, then close and restart Firefox for it to take effect. Obviously leave out the quotation marks. |

Linkspro thankyou, however, I tried that and then when I hover my mouse over the "reply or Edit" button in this forum, nothing happens, so I had to go back to True for that tooltip to get them to work again.. So far, resetting FF to default settings has kept the problem from reoccurring but I do appreciate your help..
Peace |

You are correct, in a sense. You will not see the tooltip that says "reply" or "edit" but the functionality will still be there by clicking the icon. So if you know which is which, the application is still there. Or you can do what I just did. Scroll to the top of the post and click on "Post Reply". :) |
