Just wondering what causes a slow scorecard on some custom courses..despite the fact that I have my confidence files set to read only (1kb and 4 kb). An example is the newest Stinger course Oak Island. Just seems to take like 30-40 secs or so. Was a great course to play, but takes an extra 15 mins on 18 because of this.

I think it depends how many, and what libraries are used (; buildings...textures, how many trees are used ).
Another reason might be the use of older libraries,(; TW05 and before ) some older libraries are not working very well with TW08.
After each hole the game must collect a lot of info to render the new hole.

also depends on your PC resources - cpu / ram and especially video card

the more complex the course (libraries used, structures, planting etc etc), the more resources needed to "quickly" render (prepare and draw the the next set of images) and then display the next hole

even with game graphics properties set to auto, low, or off - the rendering takes the same amount of time i've found after a bit of testing

and agree GP - some libraries are more demanding than others, especially older ones

Thanks for the responses...seems to make some sense...i have plenty of memory and just recently installed a new graphics card with 2gb ddr3 seems to handle anything i throw at it. Most likely just something unique in the particular course design.
Thanks for getting back to me.
