Has there ever been a contest held for Course Designing?
Just wondering.. I think it would be pretty cool to have a contest, and see who would win. Maybe have a prize for the winner.

TWC used to do a team design event every year or so where they would take a single plot and have various designers choose to do 1-2 holes. A common set of libraries was chosen and archs could only use those libraries for the course. It was a big undertaking and took a lot of planning by the staff. Since we have a very limited staff here, there is no way we would do that.
I believe I remember them also taking a single plot and allowing archs to download the plot and create a custom course with it. All of the courses from that plot were then judged. Even that would be difficult for us to do unless someone wanted to manage it. |

| TWC at one time had an actual contest where you had a certain amount of time to create an entirely new course. I believe the winner was Steve Richardson with Birchmere CC. Something like that would be pretty cool. |

I think it would be awesome to try a contest.
