Hi folks. It's been a couple of years since I loaded up TW08 and I have a few questions. I'd be grateful if anybody could help out.

1. I've installed a few mods and they work great. One thing that annoys me is the scrolling text when you're putting, for example "for birdie". I seem to remember getting rid of that before. But now I can't see a mod and I can't remember how to do it. Any ideas??

2. Does anyone know of a thread, either here or at EA, that helps with judging shots?? I found a note with a few in my DVD case. Here's what's on it.

downhill -half slope, uphill +third slope.
teeshots - sidewind 1 click every 2mph, head/tailwind 2yds every 1mph.

That's all I have and I don't even know if it's correct as I had a brief flirtation with TW11 for the Wii. I know custom courses can be different, but a guide for stock courses would be great.

I've just played a few of the stock courses so far. It's great to be back. I've combed the first 15 pages here trying to refresh my memory on things too.

Thanks again for any help. Gavin.

There is file available: Shot distant display - small text
When you install this file, the text will be much smaller. ( Distance....birdie text etc.....)
You can find the file on link below:

Also good idea to read link below:

So the scrolling text can only be made smaller? I thought I got rid of it before, but my memory must be failing me (nothing new there!).

Yes you can remove the scrolling text completly:
Go to: C:\Program Files (;x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Data\Images\Game\ScoreAndLieTexts

Rename the folder: ScoreAndLieTexts (; for example rename it to: MODScoreAndLieTexts )
Now the text will be gone in TW08 game.
