VPN (;Virtual Private Networking) like Tunngle has enabled LAN to work over the internet, so now you can join the tunngle network for Tiger Woods XX and connect to each other 1v1 and enjoy all of the courses, both stock and custom made, over the net.
No need for servers now, and i didnt check but it may support 4 player game modes as well, it is simply not well known enough for me to check that.
So download tunngle here: http://www.tunngle.net/index.php?l=en&pg=downloads ... and i hope to see you guys on the links, and when i get my collectible version of TW 06 i ordered from amazon i will be back making uber-courses for TW 08 and i hope that everyone has updated their PCs so that I can limit the use of optimization to deliver Next-Gen realism to the lay of the courses i create.
Also, please see this topic: http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=9212&forum=14 ... or you could just help me with my question here... can i use higher resolution textures than used in TW 08 for course design in TW 08 using TW 06s CA and have them render properly, or do i need to stick to the design limits of TW 08?
Thanks and its great to be back again and see all the forums and site still being populated! |

Hi Limerick
In regard about your question the answer is yes,but however the Tiger woods graphic engine only can support so much rendering of graphics. There isn't much difference if you have a 512mb or 1gb card, only difference is the game will render more quickly with the 1gb card and a littttttle tat of increased graphics.over 1gb even more little noticable improvement.I suppose if Woods supported sli or crossfire technology the higher resolution textures would have made a remarkable difference, and woods game is 4 years old.If only EA will stop burrying their heads in the sand and bring out the next release on pc with an architect then high resolution tex. will make a huge difference. |

Indeed, and a decent PC lets you crank up AA / AF / and transparency AA, so everything is smooth and flicker / jaggie -free !!! |

If you use the putting grid, and crank up AA it smooths out the breaks...just a thought |
