I just got this in email from Boomin Billy and tried to make it clear with an edit. It seems to work pretty well for me, but please chime in with any corrections or suggestions.
On Expert you look upward with the F key, and forward (slowly) with the W key, and you can combine them, but there's a setup for the 3 key Blimp view that can simulate the missing E-key view.
What you do is play a 'custom game' 1 hole with a friend or a second player avatar,
1- get your opponent (friend-avatar) to Tee off first and hit a Drive to about the 300 yard mark.
2- When it's your turn to tee off , open the Camera Views using Ctrl+E key , then choose the Blimp view under CAMERA. By EA default it should show as set to the 3 key.
3- hit the 3 key (if it's not already showing 3 on lower right), now use the IN/OUT Arrow on the left of the Camera Views panel, go IN (forward) until you hover over the ball of the Drive your friend previously hit. Optional, you might also want to use the MOVE arrows to center the ball.
4- Optional, on the right of the Camera Views panel, change TRANSITION SPEED to NORMAL.
5- Optional, on the right of the Camera Views panel, change PATH TYPE to STRAIGHT.
5- when done, be sure to Save the edit in the Camera settings, and Close the Panel.
Once the Blimp camera is set up this way you don't have to wait for an opponent's shot (or even have an opponent at all), your 3 key will pan up to around that 300 yard mark you set in the view. Unfortunately the pan doesn't change when you pick a shorter shot/club. You'd have to set the Blimp cam to that distance. Just use the F+W key combo. Boo! Still, better than nothing |

Someone asked me if you could do this for different distances using different Camera Views. The short answer is Yes.
I went through the exact same steps but this time having the opponent take an initial 200 yard shot. Then CTRL-E into the editor. I picked the TV TOWER TEE BOX view, the 7 key, and used the IN/OUT and MOVE buttons to find the opponent's ball. Then Saved the Camera view. The result was that the 7 key on my own shot panned from the TV TOWER TEE BOX backwards down to the 200 yards from the tee mark.
But this is trickier than the 300 drive from the tee set to the Blimp view. I really never use my 7 key, maybe now I will to see 200 yards from the tee. The problem is I don't know what files *store* the Camera Views. Backing up the originals before editing would be handy, because using the editor to revert to the EA default views could be an exercise in frustration.
Does anyone know what those filenames are?
Until we know, I'd have to say the long answer is Yes, But DON'T. |

you can adjust any camera to the type of END view you want
the experience you had with the Camera Tower camera indicates that each camera view BEGINS from the default view
so if you adjust any cameras, might be better to use the ones that start closest from the golfer
locations win7: C:\Program Files (;x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\bin xp: C:\Program Files\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\bin
camera files all end with .stn |

Thanks! Yes, I should've actually ~looked~ at the TV TOWER TEE BOX view first before editing the camera. I assumed from the name it was a view from the tee but it seems to have been from the green. As for the file locations, thanks but maybe I wasn't clear what I wanted. What I want is the file(s) where the game stores the newly edited camera view. I brought up the bin folder, as you can see in the attached file, and none of the .stn files have a modified date past 2007. In fact they are identical to the ones in the bin of an older game installation. So maybe the game's ~not~ storing the new camera views there? |

DUH! Doh! Restoring ones pre-edited Camera View keys action is as simple as the included button, RESTORE DEFAULT. |

yes - that's how you get back to default ones
thought you were looking for the edited/saved one instead of re-doing it each time |
