Can someone please tell me what the Ping, Green dot and padlock symbols on the right side mean when entering Gameranger. I have managed to download and install the programme and have the TW08 Game page open and see that there are some entries for TW08 but honestly do not know what to do next.

Those who remember me will already know that by PC Tech knowledge is almost non-existent.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not quite sure about the 'ping' other than to show the strength of the connection. The 'green dot' will show you the game has been started. If you look in your 'friend list' you will see a 'green dot' that is more like a green 'O', this will show you that your 'friend' has joined a game and if you pass your cursor over the top, it will show you that you friend is in a room and waiting for the game to start. The 'lock' will signify a game that requires a password to join. I hope this helps and i'm sure that others may be able to explain it further. ed

the ping number is a measurement of your connection time to the GR server
the lower the number the better
