Hi guys, I've recently just got back into Tiger Woods 08 due to lack of other options after a few years absence. I've downloaded loads of courses and have even reinstalled 06 and 07 and followed the instructions on here and now have a pretty sweet 33 tournament PGA Tour set up using the 06 editor, with the updated CPU opponents off here - it's working great. However it annoys me I had to recreate a new player with attributes stuck at 75 all round.
Does anyone know how to edit the plr file so I can change these? I dont want them all at 100, I would like length at 100 and then a i plan to leave the others as is. I've found a few tid bits on the net about hex editing the plr files but I could do with some better advice.
Can anybody show me the light? |

Tom, I may be wrong, but as I recall, if you set your player to "professional" instead of amatuer, you'll be topped out at 75% in every category.
Of course, that may defeat the purpose of playing the tour........... |

And that brings up a question I have. Since we don't play on the EA Servers and since I have never played on hamachi or any other server, do the players still hit the ball at 75%? I would like to know this for design purposes. Because in practice the ball always went much further then when playing on the EA servers, so when designing, I always designed with about a 5 wood as the Driver as that was comparable to online.. Thanks for any help.

used to be - hack files not much of a conversaiton - where do you stop ??
"think" career mode is used with Pro Player, or if amateur, then defaults to the 75% attributes
larry - any variation of "online" play - the defunct EA servers or LAN via 3rd party app (tunngle, hamachi, neorouter etc) or Direct IP = Pro Player, attributes locked at 75% |
