Hi everyone
I'm not really one to post much in forums (as you can see by this being my first post ever) but I've read through a bunch of archives here, searched google and everything else and I just can't find an answer one way or another. So here we go..... A friend of mine and myself play against each other off and on in TW06 through out the year via direct IP (LAN) games , but we can't get the side games, scores or stats to register and stay saved with our golfers once the round is over. We would like to keep stats and play a small "season" or something like that maybe even a winter league next year with a couple of more guys from work, but we don't know if it's even possible. We also have 2008 which neither one of us like nearly as much but if that would do what I'm asking, we would probably switch. I know that I could probably manually keep track of birdies , bogies , ect .... but I have no way of keeping track of G.I.R., putts, sand saves,.... stuff like that. I would really appreciate it if someone could let me know if it's even possible and if so point me in a direction to look. I hope that I explained myself ok. If I left something out or was confusing in what I was asking please let me know. Thanks |

Technically, it is difficult in LAN play mode...There is no record-saving support and you can't continue Previous situation where you finished game you should be write scores of rounds by manually on some of golf score database there are a few services of that... for example Golf League Network, My Golf League etc |

Thanks Seebarl. I wasn't sure if a file existed somewhere or not that I could save and export from later. I was thinking of doing some entries manually but I'm kind of a statistics nut and was hoping to track stuff like GIR, Driving distance and accuracy average, number of putts, and stuff like that. Oh well, if it's not possible, it's not possible I guess.
I also looked at the sites that you mentioned but even they still require manual entry after each round. Not much different than I could do with my own spreadsheet. I was more or less looking for something more "automatic" so that I didn't have to spend an hour of data entry after every round if I get a "league" going with some guys from work. For just the 2 of us that are playing now, none of this matters allot. We usually just play to see who has to buy lunch the next day :)
Thanks again for taking the time to respond. I wasn't sure if anyone would when I originally posted. |

you can make a tool like Memory capturing if you good in Reverse Engineering kind of analysis assembly language and you need to build own database for your stats Acturally Golf4Fun and CGX they made launcher tools to record stats of players by Memory capturing its one of solution to save records and stats of you automaticly that join Golf4Fun or CGX when you finished a round the result table shows each stats of your round but im not sure CGX does supports to save and shows every stats of your record
however, there is a way to save your stats very Briefly copy cells and recorded tables of the round and paste copied them in to Excel tables and Make a mathematical formula to calculate each stats what you have it wouldnt hard to work than recording all of scores by manually what you have |

This is good news for me Seebarl ...(kind of). I can build databases, excel tables and things like that. I'm even pretty good at it. Unfortunately, I know nothing of assembly language and expecially reverse engineering. All that I know is VB , VBA (for excel) ,c+ scripting for various programs, and even a bit of Java (but not much). I might look into joining golf4fun or some place like that and see what I can gather from there after a round. I just haven't up until now because we still use 2006 mostly (not 2008). One of these days we'll have to upgrade.
One thing I did have a question about though. You said :

"however, there is a way to save your stats very Briefly copy cells and recorded tables of the round and paste copied them in to Excel tables and Make a mathematical formula to calculate each stats what you have it wouldn't hard to work than recording all of scores by manually what you have" |
My question is where would you copy the cells from in the game after a round? I've actually tried this but can't copy anything from the scorecard in the game to an excel spreadsheet. If I could copy the scorecard or stats of any kind after a round and put them onto a spreadsheet that would be great !! If it's a file outside of the game where would it be located ?
Thanks again for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate it. |

As far as i know there is no any files from them, i mean import html data into excel one of way is copy tables of the page of your scores for clipboard and paste them in to Excel and look into structure of table and Re-arrange table(;webpage) into Excel if it needed and (;Preferably no manually) and you figure out then use them to make out the formula
This is what i can comment out for you GL |

I dont know why, but I never thought of importing the screenshots directly into excel. I was importing them to photoshop then printing them and entering them manually.I actually have a program at work that reads scanned documents and imports them into word. Ill have to see if I can read the scorecard image and enter the numbers onto a spreadsheet. Sometimes a person just needs to be pointed in the right direction... thank you :) I was hoping that there was a file that stored the information (;even if only temporarily) that I could import into a database, but if I can get this to work, at least I dont have to enter everything manually. Thanks again for all of your help. Ill go see what I can figure out. |
