I'm sure I'm gonna sound really stupid for these, since these are all probably common knowledge. But I don't know the answers :/
1. I know that I can install older courses into 2k4 (I've installed 2003 Harbour Town already) but is it possible to install a newer course? Like, say, an '05 course or even a '08 course? I'm doubtful, yet curious if it's possible (I'd have to install all the stock libraries, of course).
2. How do I make splashes? I would like to make some custom splashes for some of the courses I have, could I use a program like GIMP or do I need to get paint.net? and if I can do it in GIMP, what are the dimensions of a splash in 2k4?
3. How do I install a flag for a given course? They don't seem to register.
I thought I had more, but I guess I don't. :P
Thanks! |

Hi....
1. The game engine of TW changed by the years. With some luck you can try to install a TW05 course in TW04, not sure it will work though. Yes you will have to install a few extra TW05 stock libraries. I don t think TW06 and TW07 and TW08 courses will work in TW04, the game engine changed drastic.
2. The dimensions for a splash in TW04: 512 x 256......and the dimensions for a flag: 256 x 256 splash must be saved as splash.tga (;.tga = targa format ) Flag must be saved as flag.dds (; dds = direct draw format ) Jeff did a great Tutorial How to create splash screens, there is a section for TW04 included:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=690
3. Best way to install TW04 courses is to use automatic installer: CLsetup04
http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/category.asp?id=1&gameid=5
I believe CLsetup04 can install flags. Note: Not all custom TW04 courses have flags included. |

Thanks, I'll test out an '05 course tonight.
Just to check, though... I've used the standard course installer up to this point, will CLSetup read all the stuff that I've installed already? I don't know exactly how those programs work, so I just want to make sure. ~Zero |

Hi... Yes CLsetup04 will read the stuff you already installed. As long as you installed it inside the TW04 game. |

Could you explain what you mean by "in the game"? I installed them with Course Utilities, and all the files are in the folder, but CLSetup isn't seeing them (or really affecting anything in the game itself). :/ |

When you are using Win7 or Vista, try to run CLsetup as administrator:
On desktop right click CLsetup icon.....properties....Compatibility And on bottom check box: Run as administrator....Apply
Note: With In the game, i mean are the files installed inside folder: Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 04
C:\Program Files\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 04 |

I do use Win7. I should have mentioned that, sorry.
and I tried running it as administrator, but it didn't work then either. And yes, they were installed into the main folder. I mean, I can probably live without it, but it's just irksome that I cannot defeat it :P |
