Hi All.
I have decided to leave TWOnline as it is going downhill fast and no one it bothering to fix the many errors it has,So I have re-installed TW08 and am starting from scratch. If my memory is correct experience points are used to build your golfer up but I cannot remember which order is best. Should I build up the Power and putting options first and then the Long and Short Game options or concentrate on all 4 options equally.
Secondly I remember there was an option which gave Crashing Waves and the Pebble Beach Course and I would be grateful for a link to that download if it is still available.
Thanks for any advice. |

Hi Peter.....
1. I don t know the answer for your first question
2.We lost the file for crashing waves in the big server crash 2 years ago, so it is not available anymore.
But when you want to reflect the water in TW08, you will have to set shader level: Low (or medium) Start TW08....options....Graphics Now on top set graphics to: Manual settings And you will find: Shader level....set it to low (or medium)
3.Also don t forget to do the confidence folder fix:

Hi all,
When I paste the Crashing Wave file into the PBL.ini file, and then attempt to save the amended .ini file as all files, Notepad asks me if I want to replace the old file. When I click "yes", I receive a message that "access is denied!" If I try and close the file, I receive a message about saving the new file, and if I click save, I run through the process I just described again. How do I gain access to change the .ini file? I have a Windows 7 64 bit system.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me. |

Bruc, the access denied message might mean you need to right-click on the file, then click properties and uncheck the read-only box. |

As Bangus said, the read only box must be unchecked. When you still have problems, follow steps below:
You probably don t have the pernissions to edit the ini file in Win7. Do next steps to change the permissions:
Right click the PBL.ini file.....and choose: Properties now on top choose: Security......now you will see a box with names of groups or users below the box hit: Edit Now in box select: Users.......and in big box on bottom left side check the small box on top : Full rights.....and hit: OK
Now you should be able to edit the PBL.ini file |

The exp points build up(Tiger Challenges)is in my opinion is one of the real fun things about TW 08. It does not really take long to get your points up to compete online. They are easy and fun. In fact I'v created several characters, just to play the challenges over again...lol. You can jump around a bit to play certin challenges that give max points aka..long drive challenge...enjoy
