Howdy all -
I searched the site and didn't find anything on this. In Tiger Woods 08, is it possible to edit my own player as well as imported custom players to be announced by the pa announcer as well as the 2 color commentators? The stock included players all have this ability. It'd be fun to do this for my own player character as well as some custom players where this doesn't happen.

Hi....
You will find all sounds (; mp3) on next path:
C:\Program Files (;x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Sounds\Commentary
In the commentary folder, the welcome announcements mp3 files for the custom golfers are:
H_2k8_TAG001.mp3
H_2k8_TAG002.mp3
H_2k8_TAG003.mp3
H_2k8_TAG004.mp3
H_2k8_TAG005.mp3
H_2k8_TAG006.mp3
H_2k8_TAG007.mp3
H_2k8_TAG008.mp3
The only way to hear the name of your custom golfer is to make a new mp3 file yourself, and replace the files above with the new one you created.

| I've figured out how to create and edit the above mentioned files however I've run into the problem of whenever any golfer I am playing with is announced it refers back to one of these 8 files, in effect calling out the same name that I have edited into them. Does anyone know of a way to "fix" this so each time a player is called it doesn't come up with the same name every time? Is there a specific single sound file for our individual player? I have been able to find specific files for the pro players but nothing other than what was provided in this post for our custom golfers. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. |

Interesting question, a lot of sound files, i don t think it is possible to do that, not sure though.
I will try to find something later this evening, but i don t think it is possible to do that. |
