Hi Everyone,
I recently purchased a downloaded version of TW 08 from TigerDirect.com and both the download and installation went well until I started the game, at which point I received the following error message: "EA link is not installed and is required to play your game. Please re install EA link." After I entered the product code during the re installation, the connection to the EA link said the URL connection was not found, which I take to mean that since EA no longer sells TW 08, they have discontinued the registration link for any downloaded version! I'm even wondering if the same goes for a DVD copy of the game since you still have to submit the code when you install the game. To me, this is all about forcing the customer to buy a more recent version of the series, which I refuse to do since I'm not at all impressed with the computer version of Masters 2011.
Is there any way out of my dilemma or am I reading the situation wrongly? I love TW 08 and hope I can get back into it. Thanks for any help. |

You can try to reinstall the EA link ( download manager ), you can download the download manager on link below:

When you buy the DVD version, the registration code will be on the back of the Manual.
So with the DVD version there is no online connection with EA sports. |

Thanks for your efforts to help me. I appreciate your replies much. I guess I'll have to find a DVD somewhere. The online prices tend to be exorbitant and there's no guarantee, I found out, that the former owner saved the manual! |
