I got my custom career working for the tw08 2008 season after following the instructions in XenonSurfs post. But when I finish the last tournament of the 2008 season the game always crashes. Alternatively, If I try to simulate the last tournament and go straight to the tw08 2009 season there are no tournaments in the calendar. has anyone else had this problem or any ideas on what i am doing wrong thanks. thanks
my current theory is that there are no fedex playoffs in a custom career so the next season wont initialize/be written.
if someone has had success please let me know. thanks
EDIT: its odd because when i simulate through a season in tiger woods 2007 the next season is written perfectly. |

| any comment at all would be appreciated. especially if you have been able play through a custom 2008 season and then get into a custom 2009 season in tw08. then at least I will know that it is possible. thanks |

| I am currently in August of my season, but when I finish I will be sure to let you know what happens. I was wondering myself what would happen. Hopefully you wont have to wait too long for a reply from me. |

| Finished my 08 custom season and had the same problem the next year would not initiate. If Xenon smurf reads this have you been able to slide into the next season with no problems? I am going to try and play around with so things to see if I can get it to work. I remember reading that you could edit the career editor for the next year but you needed to follow the same steps, but if you did that I would assume that you can't continue with the same player as you needed to create a new player for the custom season to be recognized. |

damn it!!! I was hoping it was just me messing something up.
What if you don't play the last tournament of the season and transfer your player/career files back to TW07. Then simulate the last tournament in tw07 and get the new season that way. Then transfer your files back to tw08 the same way xenonsurf tells you to. sadly I don't think the pga.gcf file is backwards compatible.

| That is what I was thinking as well. When I have some time I am going to try that. In theory I think it should work since it is the same type of file extension. I have created a test player to try this out on. |

Ok, Ive read all this. Sorry, I was away for quite long...
I still have my test files on PC: I will skip to the last tourney, play it, and we shall see... Please wait...:)

P.S
The TW06 has not the FedEx part, nor does the TW07 (;or yes? I dont remember on the fly). This may be the reason for the trouble, caus you cannot build the same custom tourney structure as the *original* TW08 one, this is a limitation of the Career Editor which was uniquely designed to work with TW06. |
