Looking for some advice on what mouse to buy for playing TW 2008. I am a true swinger and want to buy a VERY good mouse, preferrably wireless.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you, Dave |

Dave, I have found the 'wireless' unreliable and a bit 'jerky'. I use a very inexpensive logitech mouse.. for the most part.. it's not the price of the mouse but more the ability of the player to use it. The game plays the same for $20 mouse as it does for a more expensive mouse.. NOW.. there are a few out there that rely on software to insure a straight shot.. save your money.. if that is what you want.. use an edge! I do not think that is what you are looking for. A straight shot relies on the mouse following a 'straight path' ie South/North.. if you want to learn 'shaping' you can experiment with turning your mouse like the face of a clock but you still must follow the 'str8 path'. The final choice is up to you.. IMHO.. save your money! ;) ed |

I agree with Ed....
I use a very inexpensive mouse: Basic optical mouse of Microsoft ( Wired mouse ). It is cheap and works very well. |

I bought a Razer Death Adder gaming mouse at the begining of the year for another game I was playing because I was looking for a more sensitive mouse and it was great for that game. I just started playing TW 08 again with the new mouse I bought and had alot of trouble keeping the ball in play. I used to play expert but had to drop down to Intermediate, I thought to myself I don't remember the game being this hard. What I found out was my Dpi was set way to high for TW 08 with the new mouse. After doing the research I discovered most of the older mice did not have a very high Dpi. Luckily my mouse gave me the option of picking what Dpi to use. I was using 1800dpi but now have set it back to 900dpi and now I can play the game on expert again. So if you are looking for a new mouse and decide on a gaming mouse make sure you can set your Dpi, it will save you alot of frustration. I even tried the game on novice with my Dpi set to 1800 and it was still very easy to draw, hook, fade and even slice the ball. I know for a fact with my older mouse on novice that it was very hard to try and not hit the ball straight. |
