I feel as a member of CourseDownLoads it is up to me/us to assist them when they ask for donations. I’m sure that many say to themselves.. WT?.. they just did this.. well it may seem that way but it’s not... So let me put it in perspective.
There is over 1100 designs to choose from. With just the past 25 designs alone there has been over 9000 downloads averaging about 360 users downloading each.
I remember when every year that a new game came out we would have to upgrade our system and our video cards.. how many problems did we encounter with that.. We always had technical support in CDL forums and there were many players willing to help.. No Charge! And new designs as well kept flowing out and I think it was the Custom Designs that keep us all going.. Fantasy Courses as well as Real Courses.. I have played all over the world!
Each September we all would anxiously wait the release of the New TW PC Golf game..approximatly $40.00 each and they would include maybe 20 stock courses. Sure they repeated a few of them but their video was improved.. another $100 for a new video card.. we all went out and purchased what we needed and continued playing. Just try and imagine if we did not have any Custom Course Designers and CourseDownLoads did not exist as the place to get them, well it’s simple.. 20 courses would cost us approx $40 we would have had to put out an additional $2000 to play them.. So You Do The Math.. I do not want to see anything happen to CourseDownLoads.. we all love TW08 and want to continue playing it.
Thank You Kevin, Pat, Jeff.. All the designers.. new and older.. I’m sure there are others whose names we don’t know
So as a long-standing member of CDL.. I am always willing to help..I hope others feel the same way.. ed
