I don't know if I've understood correctly or not. From what I've read here in the forum I got the impression that custom courses couldn't be played in the career mode. Well, I've started the PGA Tour and a random custom course is used for the first year + one competition at Firestone. I've made three other golfers and each one is assigned a different custom course (as his Home course I suppose, the one that you start on)+ the same competition always using Firestone.(I haven't got past the first couple of months yet, so I don't know what happens after).
What I did was change the 'In-House' value in the registry (Thanks to---please insert your name here---for the post in which the registry change was mentioned) of a random set of custom courses (from '0' to '1'). However, unlike the other post, I still only have a choice of 14 courses to choose from to make as my Home course when I create a new golfer. But anyway, that doesn't seem to matter because when I start PGA Tour the first year Home course is different form the one I selected (and more often that not it's a course still set to 'In-House' value '0'). It all just seems to be very random, but I suppose with a little trial and error (with 1s and 0s) some sort of order could be made.
I'm still trying to get a copy of TW06 after reading XenonSurf's post on custom careers in TW08.(Great post, by the way), which would be the proper way to do it (especially if it means you can choose which courses are to be played).
