| I think enough time has elapsed since the release of the console versions of TW2012 to ask the forum members what their impressions as far as overall appearance, gameplay and game interface might be. I got the 360 version when it was first released, and expressed a few opinions in regards to it at another forum. I stated that although the course graphics showed definite improvement over past releases, they still can't hold a candle to the custom courses that are being created here and at PGAX for the PC. One member at this particular forum suggested that I get my eyes checked. He went on to say that there are no courses for TW PC version that were as good as the courses available in the new TW12 console versions. I asked him how many custom courses for TW08 PC he has ever played? I have had no response from him in over 2 months. |

| I enjoy TW12 on the PS3. There are a few minor things that I think would have made it much better. I still think the PC version is more of a sim game and wish I could be able to design courses for a game newer than 08. |

It still feels and plays like a console golf game, thats really the biggest thing for me. There are some nice features and its good the series is moving away from its hyper-arcade roots. But there are issues that I just cant get past, and they have to do with that same arcade, kiddy-game mindset the developers still have obviously. The biggest issue by far are the cheesy and unrealistic pin placements in Tour mode. They stuck pins on ridiculous slopes for the final round of tourneys, to make things interesting and challenging I suppose. But it flatout ruins the game, and kills the enjoyment when youre having to 5-6 putt several greens. This is why user-created courses are an absolute necessity with the game, and why Ill never buy it until EA releases a course creation tool.
