I am a relative newbie to golf games and was introduced to it with TWO. As a former member of TWO (burned out by the incompetence of the dev team) I am interested to know where to secure TW 08.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Right now, Best Buy online looks to be your best option. They have it for under $10.

Another option you can look at is the download version of the game which you can get here:

You can also look locally at your WalMart bargain bin. They sometimes have cheap copies there. Amazon used to have it for under $10, but for some reason after Christmas last year the price went way high there. |

| Also Amazon.com usually carries TW08, sometimes with no shipping charge...I bought a couple for backups ! ! |

| Also can we just assume that if you buy the 08 disc, you don't have to worry if it's brand new or not, concerning the code or is that still a concern? I would think not since the servers are down but don't know about if you wanted to use gameranger or whatever.. |

That would be my assumption. The copy probably could not be registered with EA since it would likely already have been registered using the code, but that is not a big deal. As long as the buyer got the disc and code to install the game they should be fine. The code is only used to install the game and to register. It should be fine to play over LAN networks.
I checked Amazon this morning and their prices are sky high for the game, which is why I did not highlight them as a viable option. The games are coming from other merchant sellers since Amazon does not seem to stock the DVD anymore (;at least they have not since last Christmas) and the lowest New price is at $60. Lowest Used is $22.05.
Cheapest options are Best Buy at $9.99 plus tax and shipping and a 1-2 week wait or the download version at $9.99 which can be downloaded and played right after purchase. |
