Looks like there is going to be a PC version of TW12. No clue if custom courses would be possible for it, but it does look like there is going to be a PC version.

I hope that we will be able to add custom courses to it, but I won't hold my breath. I'm also a little skeptical that this game will ever see store shelves. I guess I just won't believe either are true until I see them with my own eyes. |

I will get it if it comes with some sort of designer available, but that is the only way. Otherwise it will be the same as playing the console, only sitting in front of a smaller screen. I just wonder if EA decided to do this because of some competition from other studios who are prepping for new golf simulators soon to be coming to PC. After all, they were pretty clear in the past that it was financially unwise to continue to produce PC titles for all their sports games. |

Look, I think its a step in the right direction for PC gaming. But lets be honest. EA made it their mission over the past several years to head in the control freak/online direction, and to eliminate offline customization options in their golf games and in other games like FIFA and Madden. Trust me, we wont be able to customize and edit even the simpliest of things, such as creating custom CPU players to add to the Tour roster.
The game will no doubt be a port of the 360/PS3 game. And if you read reviews on sites like Operation Sports, youll find that game suffers from some pretty heavy-duty game-killing design flaws (;assuming people here are getting excited about finally having an offline golf game to play). One huge problem in particular has to do with the pin placements in the fourth round of Tour Mode tournaments. The great design minds at EA decided that to make the fourth round in tournaments a tough challenge, they would place pins on the side of hills, resulting in multiple holes where one ends up 5, 6, or 7 putting. The OS forum is full of complaints from gamers who are saying this one issue renders Tour Mode essentially useless and a complete waste of time. Meaning the game really isnt much good for anything more than... wait for it now... ONLINE play. Or playing the occasional casual game with a friend or what have you.
Not trying to be a downer, just being real here. |

unfortunatly guys it seems this game will be a download only and be tied in with the two game,it seems that it will offer the same courses as the console versions and the same offline set up, but if u want to play online u will have to do it thru TWO as they are including a 3 month free subsciption with the game |

Incorrect...there will be both a disc and a download version. This was posted this morning in the TW Online forums:
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Online (TWO) is NOT going away. We will continue to enhance and support TWO as the ultimate online golf game and community experience for PC and Mac enthusiasts.
For existing TWO users, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters for the PC/Mac is a premium upgrade addition to TWO with additional content, features and options including Augusta National Golf Club.
If you are already a TWO member then you can purchase Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters for PC/Mac either on disc or through digital download, which includes a three-month subscription to TWO that will extend your current subscription. This is the premium option giving you access to everything that is currently on TWO as well as all the new game modes, Masters content and new courses of the PC/Mac product.
To answer any more of your questions, we have set up a Live Facebook chat with one of our developers from the Tiger Woods game team. July 22nd @ 3PM EST. Go to the Tiger Woods Online Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/tigerwoodsonline)to post your questions. |

I think the folks who like TWO the way it is now, will probably like the add-ons.. But for those of us who love the PC Version IE:08, I dont think it will go over to well, its still the same TWO game engine....:(; |

Enjoy multi-player modes such as Stroke Play, Match Play, Skins, Group Play and Group Tournaments, live chat, access to more than 25 world famous courses and more." I took this quote from: http://www.ea.com/tiger-woods/pc It pretty much says.. if you want to play tiger woods for PC online.. it's going to be TWO. IMHO, it seems that perhaps someone from the Tiger Woods team has been paying attention to Course Downloads and figured if they offered a new CA it would draw the designers and players away from TW08. Let's face it.. it has to be a 'thorn in their side' to see that this site, along with the many designers, is still thriving strong in 2011. I don't think we will ever see a PC Tiger Woods game in the '08' format, they want $$$ and they will be pushing TWO! I'd rather give my $$ to CDL and keep them up and going. |

REply By Tim on ea forum official _____________ TrueSwing is in TW12 PC from my understanding.
It is also my understanding that an additional graphics option for higher resolution and detail will be a part of TW12 PC. _______________ with new pc graphics cards and dx 11 , the game can be fantastic........ good good |

this is more of an add-on for Tigerwoodsonline than a stand alone game,it is not a straight port of the console versions, many things have been ripped out,the online part of the game is played on TWO,you get 3 free months of TWO with the game then you have to pay to play online. The gameplay is said to be the same as TWO which is about the same as novice on TW08,I would wait and read the reviews before jumping into this. |
