...use Kinect for a pc golf game
Im little OT but have a dream (;sorry for my little english)
with kinect on windows and his possibility (;http://kinecthacks.net/), its possible create a fantastic golf game..
and this other motion sensor maybe better http://www.razerzone.com/minisite/hydra
now its possible have a precision of 1 grade and 1 millimeter
im not a programmer but for a professional programmer maybe easy...
The motion sensor can read body movements or a particular point and can impose those movements on the movement of a mouse
if you create a software that reads the movement of the swing and read a virtual point where hitting the ball, then its easy to carry this information on the movement of the mouse in TW 2008 and carry on playing our virtual swing

You would do better posting something like this over in the EA forums. They likely would not do anything with it, but at least someone from EA would read it. We are not affiliated with EA Sports at all.

the problem with kinnect and golf, is that it doesnt use a conntroller to be able to monitor a golf swing, also when u swing it loses sight of your swing at the top, i beleive that micro soft are addressing these issues and expect a kinnect release with a hand held add on for tw 13..in the meantime u should try tw 12 the masters on the wii platform as the swing mechanics are pretty life like especially with the motion + add on and game set at tpx level, the ps3 graphics are better but the move controler is not as accurate as the wii and for a slight loss in graphics i think it gives u a more real golf expierence

i had a link as i read it awhile back when the masters game was released, and ea head programer said that tw 12 came abit early for them to programe for a kinect release, plus he adressed the things i said about kinnect reading body movements and what would heppen when club head went out of sight of motion sensor, and stated that ea sports would be working closly with microsoft for a future release,if this really does happen i can see exciting time ahead where maybe u could scan in your real clubs and use them, room permiting or use a updated version of the move amd wii controller, also read that the wii2 would be supporting tw golf in the future aswell, with hd graphics and the ability to d/l courses it looks interesting aswell

EA Sports has told GamerZines that Kinect "plays a very big part in the future" of the Tiger Woods series, adding that "the timing wasn't quite there" to include support in this year's version of the game.

"It's definitely something we've been designing around and looking forward to," said Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12's lead designer Mike DeVault, speaking to us about Kinect support at an EA showcase in Guildford yesterday.

"It plays a very big part in the future of the game, but this year the timing was just a little off. PGA Tour 12 ships March 29th, so we had an accelerated schedule and the timing wasn't quite there.

"But there's an immense amount of potential."

yep this is the article i read hope it happens

Thanks! I had read one of those articles right before TW12 shipped so nothing new.
