Hey, I just purchased a new system but just used my old hard drive (xp) for boot-up etc. I can play the game but it does not recognize the tons of courses I have downloaded. All the courses are still there in the courses folder but the game does not recognize them. I can only play the ones that originally came with the game. How can I get access to play these courses? Thanks. DC |

You need to reinstall them all so they get listed in the registry |

Thanks j... The only problem is that from what I remember, there really isn't an install so to speak. All you do is unzip the course into a folder within the game and make sure that all the library pieces are also in the libraries directory. All of the courses are already unzipped and in the course folder. They should be recognized by the game. I am still confused. DC |

That would be incorrect. That procedure is what you would do for TW99/01, but NOT for TW2002-08. You need to INSTALL the courses, not just unzip them. You will need to use the CLSetup07 program (found in our Utilities area) to install the courses AND required libraries for your courses.
I would highly recommend you download and read this tutorial on how to install courses and libraries so you understand what needs to be done.

Actually, Ive had less than thrilling results using the CLsetup07 program with Windows 7. Even setting it up to run administrator and using Windows XP compatibility doesnt always guarantee that the courses and libraries will register properly in the registry.
Ive had to use the course manager program to register courses and libraries to make them work properly in TW07.
Your ideas about reading up on course installations is a great idea though. |
