Hi everyone. I noticed a thread here the other day asking about sound files, so I thought I'd post a link to the edited sound files I'm using in my Tiger Woods 06, 07 and 08 games. As I state in the read me file, I edited a handful of sound files to bring some balance to the in-game sounds. Generally speaking, I found a number of sounds were too loud in comparision to others. So I either lowered the volume or eliminated the sound file completely.
I just uploaded these, and the download link should be active soon:

No problem Gunpowder. Just to add: I removed several sounds completely such as the extremely noisy stream sound (;first hole at St Andrews as one example). That was simply my preference given there are very few golf courses where one would come across rapidly running (;torrential) water of that sort, lol. But if you would prefer to have the stream sound lowered rather than eliminated completely, just download a sound editor such as MEF (;Music Editor Free). You can quickly locate the same files in your default sound folder, and lower the volume to whatever you like.
Also, it only takes a few short minutes to copy and save all the original sound files and folders. If these edits dont work for you, simply delete the entire folder(;s) and then re-paste a copy of the saved folder(;s) back in the game. Quick and easy. |
