Hi everyone, Im wondering if someone who has come across this issue could chime in (;or anyone else for that matter). I have TW 06, 07 and 08 installed on my laptop, which is the only PC I own. I recently bought a 23-inch monitor, which I use it to play games and watch Netflix.
TW 06 works great when I play it using the external monitor, no issues whatsoever. But neither TW 07 nor TW 08 will work. The game freezes when I go to tee off. When I check the in-game Video tab, there are no resolution options available, just an error message telling me Ive chosen an unsupported video mode. As well, it makes no difference if I change the external monitors resolution, I still have the same issue and error message.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |

I can't say for sure but does your video card software for the laptop fully support games on the external monitor. You might check to see if your laptop video card has any updated video driver software available and then check to see if the external monitor might have issues with that software. Some video software works better with games than others.
Just a guess though. You should be able to check thru the video card software if the TW2007 video modes are supported. My off the wall guess is that you still will need to turn off some of the graphics settings to at least try and get them to work. |

I'll check that lau4stra, thanks. The thing is though, I've played maybe a dozen different PC games, demos, etc. on the external monitor -- including TW 06 as I mentioned -- without ever running into this issue. The only two games that don't work are TW 07 and TW 08. Heck, I even dragged the Xbox 360 out of the closet and hooked it up, and it plays games on the monitor just fine. Anyway and in the meantime, I've been playing TW 06, and if that's all I'm able to play, so be it. Thanks again. |
