Hi bini. I dont believe you can add nature sounds to finished courses. What I do is I launch a looped ambient sound file using Windows Media Player, and have that running in the background while I play the game. There are some great user-created files on the Links Corner site. But I use sound files I created myself. You can download them here if you like:
http://www.filefront.com/17676789/Links-2003-extended-ambient-nature-sounds.zip/
There are 3 sets of nature sound files, for either wooded, desert or ocean courses. |

Yup, I also played Links from the time it first came out, like most of us old farts no doubt!
Much easier in Links to add sounds, yes. The only way to do it in TW is to edit the commentary or crowd sounds, and add ambient sounds instead. I thought of going that route, but running an ambient sound track in the background is MUCH easier, and works even better IMO. It doesn't cut in and out every time the game screen switches to your next shot.

I've tried edit commentary .wav with GOLDWAVE but ear nothing ...also with the same bit for every sound ......... you can use glovepie 0.43 it's for a bluetooth and wii interface pc , but work good also ONLY for sound (and without wii and bluetooth)
create a folder c:\sound and put in your sound (only.wav) then create a simple script as wait 10 s playsound c:\sound\ 1.wav wait 20 s playsound c:\sound\ 2.wav ... you can put wait sec as you want and .wav as you want
for detail contact me |

The commentary sound files in TW are in MP3 format. You need an editing program that will convert your wav files to MP3, after which they will work fine. |

Bini, you have to be aware there are many different sets of sound files in the commentary folder. For example, there are at least two different sets of sound files for selecting driver, 3 wood, 2 iron, etc. And they're located in two entirely different places within the folder.
Also, not all the commentary sound files are used by the game programming. EA has sound files in that folder going back to TW 2004. It could be you edited one group of sound files that the game doesn't even use anymore.
This is why I suggested my alternative. There are so many commentary files, it's a huge job to sift thru them and edit them. |

Ive been editing some of the club-swing and ball-landing sounds and discovered the same issue. The problem is the file you edit and save, has to be saved with a similar frequency sampling as the original, or it wont play in-game. You also have to check whether the original sound clip was recorded as a stereo or mono track. |
