I was hoping someone may have the updated player files, they were in the the utilities resource. I was planing to do another custom season and they work great in that format. If anybody had them I would be very great full to get my hand on them. I had a lot of custom files save but my Iomega external drive died without warning. Thanks again.

Does this mean you were finally able to figure out how to use custom courses into an '08 season? I know a while back you were trying to figure out how. Never heard anything more.

I checked my old system but didn t find the updated player zipfile.
I hope someone else will find them.

How about this question, I took the bull by the horns , got me a list of top PGA players, then made a copy of the PGA tour players folder, then changes most of the plr files to match the top 100 golfers. So then I copied and pasted the plr files to my tour players folder, but when i played a round against the PGA tour player all my changes did not show up? Any ideas? So confused.

Ok, I may need even more help, I seemed to have messed up my game a little. It ssems that after opening a plr file with notepad, that became the default method for opening all plr files. the problem being the game will not let me play in PGA mode with the plr files set to open with notepad. I was wondering if someone could have a quick look and drop me a line with the original program used to open plr files so I can switch back to that. Man I always seem to get into some kind of mess.

not possible, you corrupted the plr files with the changes, has nothing to do with what default program you assign to open plr files
that only effects what program is used when YOU click on the files, not when it's a software call to read the file

with most file types you should be able to right click on them, select "open with" and set the default to whatever you want, either from a suggested list, or using the browse button to find the program.exe button |
