| I have downloaded Merion by hynodesigns for 2006 and whenever i try to run it it gets half way through the loading screen with the landscape in the backround and then the whole game crashes any ideas? |

Back when this course was released we did not list a group of libraries called the "Architect Libraries" as required libraries. We didn't list them because it was understood by players back then then this group of libraries would be required for almost all custom TW2006 courses that were released. Therefore they were not listed. These libraries included Buildings and Miscellaneous Structures which are required for this course. I have added them as required libraries.
If you are new to TW2006 and are just now downloading custom courses for the game I would strongly recommend you look at the libraries released by the architect EA Sports and download these libraries:
Architect
Bridges
Buildings
Miscellaneous Structures
Stairs && Walkways
Walls && Fences
Download them, install them and don't delete them. You will use them on most if not all TW2006 and earlier courses. |

| yea i tried downloading the course with those added libraries and it still crashes in the middle of the loading screen. |

I've also had trouble with the Merion 06 and 05 courses. I have downloaded the courses and all libraries (included the 6 mentioned), installed all with the 06 installer, and both crash during the load of the course. Is there a way to tell which libraries are missing? I've checked the analize part of the cl06 installer, and no missing libraries. Any help or solutions?
This has also happened with the 06 Raven at Sandestin course. |

One way is to uninstall the course (;but not the associated libraries). Then reinstall the course, and an alert box should pop up telling you which if any libraries are missing. |

Thanks for the suggestions.
I tried uninstalling and installing the 06 Merion course like you said. No alerts. Stilll crashed 3/4 way through the load.
The only thing I got was some kind of warning about the greencondroughlengthwindspe.ini not being correct. I had 3 different options. Yes, No, Cancel. I tried all three (Yes, crash,uninstall, install, then No, Cancel). Still crashed each time. Properties doesn't reveal anything either.
From what I've read throughout the forums, this has to be a missing library, but I don't know how to tell which one, unless the architect can tell us. 05 Merion does the same thing, so there's got to be something missing.
Any other solutions? |

| If the problem was a missing library, it would crash immediately, not 3/4 or even 1/4 of the way through the load. You would not even get a progress bar. If the problem was a bad library you would get a message stating that the library could not be initialized. Since you are telling of a message regarding and ini file, you may want to try and just delete any ini files present in the course folder. They are not needed to play the game. Back with the 2006 and older courses they were used mainly to set the correct distances on the scorecard instead of letting the game determine the distances. Or it might have something to do with other game/course settings, but once again the course should work just fine without any ini files included. Try that and see what happens. Remember, I am talking about ini files inside the course folder, not the game folder. |

| This course was a Hyno Designs course. All of his later courses (05-06) needed to have graphic levels turned down to Low in order to get the courses to load. Try going into your graphic settings within TW2006 and turn the settings from either Auto or a high level down to Low. |

Finally got it to work by changing all the graphics to low. Didn't seem to matter about the ini file, but that's an option for the future. Merion now works with the graphics on low, and it still looks good enough for the 06 career season. Raven at Sandestin still does not work, but that's ok since I only wanted a FL course to complete the season.
