Hi everyone

Fantastic web site. Does anyone in th uk remanber golf on itv and channel 4 during the 70s & 80s? John Jacobs used to commentate for itv and of course a young setve rider on c4. Anyhow i was wondering if anybody also rememberd the theme tunes? I can remeber them in my head but i dont know what they were called or where i can get them from to download. I have done endless searches on the net but nothing yet. Can anybody help please.

Welcome to the site. That is a tough one. I'm sure that I would have watched at the time, but I cannot remember the tunes. Good luck with your quest.

John Jacobs and steve Ryder i think were on Sportsnight and grandstand (;BBC and ITV) but i could be wrong, its so damned long ago lol

Yes i know the BBC one very well its easy to get hold of but thanks for your links.
Steve Rider began life on Channel 4 doing their golf coverage us open and Masters
i remember when Langer won his first Masters it was on channel 4 then they lost it
to BBC and took Steve Rider with it.

Anyhow i will keep looking.
