Any assistance will be appreciated....
I got a new system with Windows 7. I have always used the CLS downloader, but I thought I'd use the TW version. I downloaded and installed the 64 bit Vista version, but it won't install the libraries, so I probably need another downloader...or is it something else? I tried to cut and paste the error, but couldn't.
What dl are other windows 7 users using?
Thanks

I think I'll try a different version I guess... |

Hi...
Are you using Win7 32 or win7 64 version?
When you are using Win7 32 you will have to use TWCaddie08 32 version (;TWCaddie08 V1.5 )
When you are using Win7 64 you will have to use TWCaddie08 64 version (;TWCaddie08 x64 ) |

hi... First you have to know you have win7 32..... or win7 64 installed on your PC. Below is link how you can find that info about win7:
http://windows7themes.net/what-windows-version-do-i-have-32-or-64.html
When you found out go to TWCaddie08 download page on link below:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/twinstaller.asp
On that page you will see 2 download links:
when you have win7 32.... download this one: TW Caddie 08 v1.5 - Vista and XP
when you have win7 64... download this one: TW Caddie 08 x64 - Vista 64 and XP 64 |

Step2:
When you installed TWCaddie08 you will have to make sure the program has administrator previleges. (; When you don t do that you will receive message that TW08 game is not installed correct. )
(; right click TWCaddie.exe file and install as administrator....also turn off UAC, user account control in win7 )
Some more help below, it is for Vista, but about same for Win7:
The program needs to have permission from the first time you install it. UAC Creates registery entries for each individual user and denies access to the keys Tiger Woods 08 uses to read courses from.
Simply put here is how to fix every single issue that Vista users have encountered. MAKE SURE THE PROGRAM HAS ADMINISTRATION PRIVILEGES.
So how do you do that you ask?
Browse to the folder you installed TW Caddie 08 usally: C://Program Files/CourseDownloads.com/TW Caddie 08
Locate the following file: TW Caddie 08.exe
(;VISTA 64 BETA) TW Caddie 08 Vista 64.exe
Right Click on that file and select Properties.
With properties Open select the tab labeled Compatibility
In the Compatibility screen you will see a option near the bottom that says: Run This Program as Administrator
Check the box and click Apply and then OK. As the manual says you the program MUST BE RAN AS AN ADMINISTER. IN XP just being logged in as an Admin is enough. Vista and win7 on the other hand you have to tell it to run as an Administer.
This has fixed 99.9% of all reported problems with TW Caddie and Vista or win7. |

Go to the Control Panel. If you are in Category mode (;which is the default), click on User Accounts and Family Safety. Then click on User Accounts. Then click on Change User Account Control Settings. |

I got it, thanks. Can I turn that back on when I finished downloading? Or does it always have to be off? |

win 7 must be really different. I can't find the compatibility tab and my access is denied when I try to open a library. |
