I am now getting a crash everytime i start Tiger Woods 2006.

i get this error.

The currently selected profile cannot be loaded

your player profile has been deleted or is corrupt
look in:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06

if you have a backup of your player, paste it in

if you cant change the player on startup, then youre looking at a reinstall
