I've been out of the TW loop for a few years and with an old AGP system, I have also lost track of all the new PCI-E upgrade developments.
I want to upgrade to PCI-E now. What I need to know is, what is the minimum cpu and vid card system I could buy that would play TW 08 all maxed out with full AA and AF and all settings turned up? Just a rough idea would be great. I downloaded a few charts that show hierarchies of cpus and gpus so I can figure out what is better than what. I just need a baseline idea of what can do the job these days.

For those settings you'd want something close to this.
Intel E8400 Wolfdale 2-4 gigs ram geforce 9800GTX
Thats what i have and I have everyhting maxed and occasionally dip into the 40's as far as fps goes. I usaully hang in the 60's -80's
you could build that rig pretty cheap too |

Average cpu will do. Geforce GT or GTX (; Nvidia ) graphics cards are performing very well. Also ATI graphics cards are very good. When you are using XP, 1-2GB RAM memory will do. When you are using Vista or Win7, you will need 2- 4GB RAM. |
