| does anybody have a working copy of 2005 on the pc i have got 3 originals of the game and i have only ever manged to get one of those to work just once, yet when i tried to play the one i got to work the day after it just wouldnt boot up again and ever since it just refuses to boot up again, i would be interested to know if anyone else has a fully working copy installed on there machine. 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007 ,and 2008 i dont have a problem with just 2005. any help would be aprreciated. |

Should be no problem to install all versions on your PC.
I have TW06...07 and TW08 installed, and they all work.
When you installed all versions you can start each from :
Start.....Programs.....EAsports
(;don t forget to insert the correct DVD in DVD drive ) |

| My TW2005 will work in Windows XP but not in Windows 7, but TW2004,2006 and 2008 all work fine in Windows 7. I can't work out what the problem is with TW2005 |

| Just tried TW2005 in Windows 7 again and this time it worked, this one has got me baffled. It seems to choose whether it wants to start or not. |

| thats exactly what happens with mine, ive never known a game that can decide for itselfs wether or not it wants to work or not its like its got pmt or something lol, i tried to work it off right click and properties windows xp service pack 3 which the first time it worked but then i shut it down and tried to reboot the game again and it just wont come back on, i know win7 has an xp mode on it but i havnt got round to sorting it yet but that might be the only remedy i think ea have some answering to do myself, thanks for the feedback guys i thought i was going mad but it seems its the game thats mad. |

If you click on the taskbar and select "start task manager" then go to "processes" you will see TW2005.exe on the list.
End this process and exit task manager.
Start TW2005 again and it will run. |

Hiya, yes i had same problems with TW05 on win7, very tough to start the game, sometimes worked sometimes not.
But i found a workaround, the game TW05 starts everytime now on Win7.
First download a small program called Fraps, you can download it on link below:
http://www.fraps.com/
When you installed Fraps, dubble click the shortcut ( Fraps )on you desktop, and minimize it, so it will still run in your taskbar.
After that start TW05 and the game will start. Once the TW05 is started you can close Fraps when you want.
Note: When you by accident tried to start TW05 without first starting Fraps:
First you will have to delete TW05 in running processes. Hit CTRL + ALT + DELETE and go to Task Manager
In Task Manager on top select: Processes.....and in list delete: TW2005.exe
When done start Fraps......start TW05 and the game will start.

I have fraps pro version, this prog hooks into any game you have installed for making videos of the game play,i dont see how it helps TW2005 to start ?, TW2005 as we all know is an old game ? Could there not be an issue with DirectxX on later versions of Windows ?
