Hey Folks,

After experiencing a hard drive crash recently, I have been forced to re-download my favorite courses. I did not have them backed up.

So my question is, what is the most efficient way that you use to back-up your courses and libraries. And have you had to use your back-up files ensuring that they actually work after you had to re-install Tiger Woods (08 in my case).

After installing courses and libraries, I copy and paste them to a external hard drive. In case I ever need them. Luckly I've never had
a hard drive crash...nock on wood lol...But every now and then I'll
delete a few courses and install differenet one's.

However when I do download a course I always download all the libraries
for that course. That is a lot of duplication of libraries, but I always
have everything needed for a complete install.

I'm not knowledgeable about how to back up files, but is something i
really need to learn.

Anyway hope this bit of info help's

You could always synchronise your libraries with your caddie to save having to download the same files over and over, it would also save the site a huge amount of bandwidth (Bandwidth = cost) if everyone did that.
