I was getting server problems and it would not let me sign in. I went to customer support and used the live chat line. Here is a brief list of what had been said:
A ERROR HAS OCCURRED ON THE SERVER PLEASE TRY AGAIN.........I PLAYED LASTNIGHT WITH NO PROBLEM......... [10:26:18 AM] Chris: I have checked your account & everything is okay there. You are requested to uninstall the game & reinstall it. It will hopefully fix your issue. [10:31:53 AM] : why did it work ok last night? [10:33:43 AM] : which tells me the game is working OK [10:34:44 AM] Chris: It is a temporary issue & our engineers are working on it. [10:37:57 AM] Chris: Within 24 hours, it will go alright. [10:38:18 AM] As you can see they got the engineers involved and I was able to sign in. Hope this will help.................cloys1 |

Hi...
You can also try to uninstall and reinstall the online components separate ( no need to uninstall TW08 game ):
When you want to uninstall....and reinstall online components:
To uninstall online components: go to folder: ea sports online C:\Program Files(x86)\EA SPORTS\EA SPORTS online inside you will see icon: Easouninstaller Click: Easouninstaller icon , and online components will be removed
To reinstall online components:
Go to your DVD drive with TW08 game......right click DVD drive and choose: Browse or explore (Or dubble click DVD drive ) Now on TW08 DVD look for folder: Common Easo Inside Common Easo folder, you will see: Easo installer Dubble click: Easo installer........and online components will be reinstalled. |

Gunpower61: I have question before I try the information that you gave me. I had to do a system restore this past Saturday because of some issues and I was wonder if I may had done something wrong. I have yet to reinstall my software for AT&T Yahoo my ISP server, I am using the AOL that had been installed orignally on the computer would that be an issue. I have Norton Anti Virus and have my Firewall diabled, should I be doing anything else. Thanks |

Absolutely, AOL would be an issue - I would restore the Yahoo ISP software first and then try EASO again. |

I have noticed a rash of connection problems lately I know someone who can get into EASO join a tourney but gets error 777 when he hits play now, there is someone else that hits play now and gets kicked to desk top everytime. i have also seen people in lobbys discussing probs in the chat box lately. Uninstallig game and/or easo components haven,t fixed the probs. |

Hi to all of you that posted things for me to try to solve my problem, well to make a long story short, I applied one of the thoughts and that was turning off my Norton Security while I was trying to get into the Match-up Lobby and Tournament Lobby, it worked, so I guess that was the problem I had when I was getting the msg EA was giving me, so now I have to turn it off and set a time period that I want it off while I play.
Thanks again to all of you |

TW programs need firewall permission - if they are blocked, it should show in your firewall logs and/or display a firewall alert
The files are:
tw2008.exe atljabber.exe sportswrapper.exe |

Hi oldgoat...
What are the specifications of your PC, graphics card etc..... ?
You can try to clean up your pc, maybe you have a lot of unnecessary programs in the background running. Maybe good idea to run CCleaner, it is free and very good. You can find it on link below:
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download
Note: It will also remove cookies, so write down your username and password of EASO before you run CCleaner. |

Just a note, Gunny........ you can go into the settings with CC and exclude the cleaning of cookies. |
