Hey all,
Because of some computer problems, I recently had to do a reinstall of TW 08. Gun helped me with reinstalling all of my courses and libraries and that all went well, got all the customs reinstalled. Currently I am playing back up my attributes and have alsso played in a couple tournements online. While playing, there are a couple things that are missing. First, I have no sound like I had in the original install, no announcers, no "ping" of the clubswing. Also, in the original install, the camera would follow the ball down the course when struck, this does not happen any more unless I hit the 5 key after the swing. Any advice guys?? Is there something else that I should have installed??. I did the reinstall right off the disc, so I guess I'm puzzled as to why these features are missing. Thanks in advance!!! |

| Have you checked the game settings? When you first open the game go to Options (the spanner at the bottom) select sound and check that ambient sounds, tv announcers and crowds are at least half way, I have them set all the way to the right for maximum effect and the music set all the way to the left so I dont get any. save this then go into game settings and change camera view to Ball Cam, that should fix that too. |

| Thanks Rob, yes, I've tried going into the game settings, to no avail. Here's where I'm sitting right now, no sound on any courses....custom or stock, ballcam not working, no logos on stock courses (they're there on customs), no "birdie, par bogey" display after sinking a putt and no yardage display while the ball is in the air. The game is playable, just doesn't have the little nuances that I'm used to. As I said before, I had to do a reinstall of TW 08. I think there is something that didn't "take" in the reinstall, but I'll be damned if I know what! I really would hate to have to do another reinstall and lose everything again. HELLLPPPPP!!!!!! Thanks again!!! |

Since it does not take to long to get your attributes built up in the tiger challanges or create a player at the pro level. Which gives you 75% attributies that EASO limits online play anyway...sounds like a reinstall
is your best bet...OUCH

| Thanks Dawg, not what I really wanted to hear....LOL. I'll probably just leave it the way it is before I do another reinstall, I've been working on the attributes for almost 2 weeks now and I'm not going through it again. Wonder if I could save my career so far and put it back into the game after a reinstall? Or maybe just reinstall parts of the game? If anyone knows the answers here, I'd be grateful. | Thanks Boze, I think after I get my player attributes all back up I'll give this a try. The only downfall is that I'll have to reinstall all of my courses and libraries again. Took me more time than I want to admit to a week ago to do this. This whole computer crash has been a real pain, taught me alot. And btw.....it took a PACKER legend to get the Vikings to the playoffs. Sorry, couldn't resist. Thanks again!! |

Maybe you can also try this:
Start TW08.....on main screen choose: Game modes..... Custom game.......Advanced (; books with cup icon )....
And check box: Use Tournament Audio
Tournament atmosphere: PGA Tour |
