Hey bud, used to be that if you DID NOT check the tree lighting, all the trees would look kinda fluorescent, or multicolored... But I believe that was in 06 and earlier, because to tell you the truth, I see no difference now either. Accept that it compilies much faster... But I still haven't had the nerve to do my last compile without checking it, but I may with this course, to tell you the truth, I rarely check it now, only once in a while just to make sure everything is good.. So I don't want to be the one to say, you don't have to do it, but I'm not checking it anymore...Peace

Well, I did bring this up over at TWC quite some time ago, making a point that it can be done either way, and with the box unchecked, it compiles a lot faster. But alas, I was riddled with negative comments about how, oh it doesnt save that much time anyway.. blah blah blah, so I gave up. But I enjoy the 10 to 20 seconds of time it cuts down on. Especially when I have been working on 1 shot path for well over an hour just to get it right, believe me after compiling, saving, installing, and opening the game back up, massive amounts of time, 20 seconds is like heaven. lmao...

thanks axe for the reply. I may start using it to compile faster as the course i'm working on now has a lot of water and creeks the farthur i get on it the longer it takes to compile.
I also noticed that if i put a lot of rocks in the course it takes longer, at one point it would not compile, told me to optimize to free up memory, took the rocks out and was ok.

Was wondering while this post is up about tee boxes. The course i'm building has 6 on every hole, I know the game only supports 4, What is the best thing (look wise) to do, lay down all 6 or just 4, leaving a gap where tee boxes should be.

I guess it would depend if it is a Real Course or not...:)The one I'm working on (Real) has 5 tee boxes on some holes and 4 on most of the others. I left them in, but if it's a fantasy, it wouldn't matter.. Also most just use the black, blue, white and red I leave out the gold shot points/tee markers...
