A few of my golf partners can see themselves and their oppoenents while playing an online game. I always only see one golfer on the screen. Any ideas on which setting allows this multiple player display ?

You probably have a 256mb or 128mb video card. When you use a 512mb you can see other players, flies, squirrels, ducks, etc...........The graphics are greatly different. If you can upgrade to a 512mb card, it would be worth your while. The older video cards like Nvidia Geforce 8800 are selling under $60 online.

who do you see ?
an opponent ?
or just yourself?

if just yourself - sounds more like Ready Play is enabled - go into game options and uncheck it

ill disagree with above poster - never NOT seen all opponents in a game regardless of video card
low power vid card usually affects trees, grass, etc if the game even runs with one

JB, thats strange. I just double checked and on my pc with 256 vid card, I dont see other players on the fairway or on the green or their ball lying on the fairway.

On my new computer with 512mb card, I see everything. Maybe some low end video cards have more juice than others.

Did you follow JB's advice and check to see if 'readyplay" is enabled in the in-game settings?

well, so am i :)

i can only speak to AGP cards, but never noticed what you describe re: other players since starting with TW2004

although ive had various cards on 2 PCs used - 64, 128, 256 bit cards with varying amounts of GPU (;128, 256, 512mb), the only differences have been the amount of eye candy vs lag/choppiness depending on the ingame graphics settings used

but yes - if anything with the TW series - mileage varies with the system specs and settings

birdman - some system specs would help troubleshoot your issue/question

256 kb ???

cards come in various types
agp, pci-e
64 bit, 128 bit, 256 bit
256mb, 512 mb etc

each combination of those 3 elements will give often drastic differences in viewing

perhaps identifying the exact card might help ? along with a few other system things like memory (RAM), CPU etc

otto - pls join in :)

that's not a video card from what i can see
it's a chipset - weaker, less power, essentially designed to prolong laptop battery life etc rather than delivering high quality game graphics

- definitely not a gaming or desktop video card though
- looks like 64mb from the chipset and 1mb dedicated to video(that's coming from the 3mb system memory)

not a laptop guy - some play TW and other games well, some do not
whether the graphics chipset is the culprit for not seeing other players?
- sorry, no idea in this case

Thats a very strong integrated chipset......... it allows you to play the game , which is more than most igcs will do.

As to your problem, thats something Ive never heard of, aside from seeing multiple players on the teeing ground when the hole loads.

Im afraid Im not gonna be much help here, but it sounds like a pretty small problem.

Do you mean that you only see one player at a time, or that you never see your opponents?

This isn't a problem, just a mystry, but I solved it. In Game Face Graphics Option, I slid the bar at top to the far left to set maximum graphics quality. This setting has not affected my game play performance. Now, if I'm playing with a foursome, for example, I see all 4 players on the screen all the time, whether if it is my turn or my oppoents turn.
