I've just started on the road to fame and glory and hit a pot-hole, No Money!
I've found a entry on how to make money, but I'm a little confused. I can play skins, and the other side-games, but they seem pretty small potatoes, is there any way I can increase my winnings, sorry, "potential" winnings :)
Also, there was a suggestion to setup a tournament with lesser skilled players,then save, after 17 holes, and go back to "re-plentish" my dwindling funds, but how do you set up a tournament? All I can find is the PGA tour and that's not helping!

You say you have found the PGA tour.. play that.. enter a tournament (after you have created a professional golfer) and win a tournament.. After that you will have suffficient funds to buy whatever clothes or equipment you desire. But remember..do not spend your money before you enter the tournament as you will need money to cover travel and other expenses to enter the tournament.
But my suggestion is that first you play the Tiger Challenge and sharpen your skills. Then after you 1. create a pro golfer 2. enter the PGA tour 3. win some money.. then you should purchase some of those expensive ($30,000 drivers, woods, irons and putter). I would also suggest purchasing a $1500 golf ball.. (you would think at that price they would give you a box. :-). I find the more expensive equipment does improve my game. Good Luck.

I tried the 17-hole save thing and couldnt get it to work. I just play a skins game with a created CPU player whose abilities I edited so he has trouble breaking 100. Play on white tees and easy pins, etc. I havent looked to see if theres a way of making more per challenge, though there could well be.
EDIT: I just checked, and apparently youre able to set a skins game purse at $40,000! Id say thats all you need then. |

Well Hop352, I have entered the tourney's and that's my issue, I haven't won, or made the cut in the first 2 and voila, out of money :( Thanks for the suggestions about the equip, but like Happy Gilmour, at this point I'll use anything to get the cash flowing :)
And Bangus, I went back in this morning, and did play skins and picked up about 5 grand, so that seems to be "green" brick road for me. I looked and can't figure out how to set up a tournament for the win and save thing, so it looks like skins or side games for me!
