| How do you move the ball on tee before you make your shot in TW 08 for (PC)? |

| To move your tee position you click on menu on the bottom left and select tee position, then click the left mouse button when you're in the location you want to be. The X key to move your position isn't an option on the 08 version of the game. |

Hi All
Like JFS47 I am totally new to this forum and to the intricacies of TW08.
I know I’m old and slow, but have scoured my edition of the manual from cover to cover but didn’t find mention of ‘moving the ball on the tee’. ( As I said, old age doesn’t come alone so I may have missed it. :) )
Stafanie2k6’s reply has answered JFS47’s question and taught me something as well.
Such little bits of information, perhaps obvious to some, are pearls of wisdom and like gold dust to newbies like myself.
Knowing this new fact adds just that little bit extra enjoyment to my TW08.
Please keep answering what at first may appear a simple question, your answers are much appreciated by beginners like myself.

moving the ball on the tee is a stroke penalty :)
apologies
the move golfer position on teebox = X key was in previous manuals
EA removed the keyboard command and made it a Menu command with no reference to it in the manual
(most keyboard commands are also in the Menu and subMenu list (click on >> to go to subMenus)
another one to look for (and i can never find it using site search) has to do with the Confidence meter - it uses a file which grows in size as it records your data about each hole played - which may cause the game to slow down/lag
look for this folder (change PLAYERNAME to your player(s) name)
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Career\Players\PLAYERNAME\Confidence
There are only 2 files in this folder:
HoleType.tcn
ShotType.tcn
Delete HoleType.tcn
start the game,go back to the folder, the file created itself again
right click on the file, select properties, under the General tab at the bottom, change attributes to Read Only, click OK
This freezes the file size at a small size and prevents any data being added to it
there's a lot of tips and tricks - take a stroll through the forums for more
and since the game is 2 years old now, alot of the information may be back a few pages
