| It has been mentioned because I've read a couple of threads on the subject. Someone posted they had been taking a look at it, and others have posted and asked if any progress had been made. I also read at least one thread on what the issue is and why it can't be done. |

It would be great to have a season career editor for tw08. It is the only thing missing for a lot of us. Being abel to play a season with all the great courses available here would be great. Thanks to all who contribute to this site! If someone could figure this out he would be KING of the TW08 world. Thanks!!! |

The only way we "could" possibly get a career editor for TW08 is that if Microsoft releases or sells the rights to the pc game to another entity. This happened to Links 2003 and the game has been modded several times to keep the game alive. If a third party or a group of the original programmers were to get a hold of the games many changes could probably be made to the programming.
Unless that scenario happens, TW08 will remain in its current state and probably begin to fail as new technology advances with pc's and graphics. |

Microsoft dont own the rights to the Tiger Woods games and the difference is ea continue to advance the game (2010 in beta now) so there would be no benefit in doing anything with the 08 game. |

You are most correct. EA sports owns the rights. What a shame. I hear the next version will not be a DVD but a download with only "Pay for Play" aspect. Probably no way to have custom courses or career editor either.
It's just sad because many users don't care for online play... |

It is really too bad there is no editor, it really makes Links2003 interesting when you "play" along with the pro's schedule. Even though this is a game, after playing for about 3 months, almost to the PGA sched, you realize that this "game" can be almost a job too! Now, I've just entered the tour for the first time, and it only shows stock courses, is that correct? Is there anyway to "sub" courses, ie the PGAX 2009 Sawgrass with the EA version?
I thought about just copying the crs final in but I don't want to screw up my "career"!
Thanks for any replies! |

yes, only stock courses that's what a career editor would have done - allow you to replace/add courses to the schedule or create your own schedule |
